If the weather is cold&grey, or wet&windy,- and especially all at the same time,- it seems like a good idea to spend the weekend staying at home, under the warm comforter, with a favorite Christmas mug of tea in hand and sweet Christmas comedy on the screen. Those, who live up north, know the feeling 😉

English Tea Shop's Advent Calender has pleased us today with warm&spicy aroma of Spicy Pumpkin tea with N2 on the box.
The green tea is famous for speeding up metabolism, and it definitely helps to stay slim even after 2-3 rich Christmas truffles with a taste of baked apple.

By the way, the small cardboard boxes contain not usual paper tea bags, but luxurious piramides, made of  thin transparent textile.

Isn't it time to start blogmassing? 😏😏 May be, one should give it a try, even though it is difficult to be sure, that one can actually write&publish something interesting every day. For example,- is a morning cup of Christmas tea - something interesting and worth to mention? For me it is. Because it gives me inspiration to be creative and have a nice day. So,- ladies&gentlemen,- let me introduce you to my Christmas cuppa!

The newest addition to our tea-collection, however, is a beautiful&tasty organic advent-calendar from English Tea Shop. 

 Tea N1 is green, called Happy Holidays and has a mild taste and delicate aroma of Christmas spices.

Rise your energy!

We all know, how it goes. You wait for The Festive Season the entire year, read the Christmas-related blogs, watch Christmas movies on Youtube, make some plans,- and then, when the time has come, you feel, that you don't have enough energy to do everything you have planned. So,- what to do? First,- start preparations early. Especially, if there is a lot of cleaning involved. Most of us don't want to hang the decorations, if home is still untidy. And the mess has this magic quality to make people slow&tired. Like an energetic vampire, it sucks the energy out of you. So one just postpones decorating, till one has energy to clean,- and then - oups! - Christmas Eve is here.  That's why,- do it now. Take your brush, dust off the interior objects, quickly wash the windows from inside (because outside it's cold&rainy), wash the floor, wipe with a damp cloth door and mirror,- and you are ready! No detergents required,- they would just pollute the air. And yes,- I know, how much time it takes. But when it's done,- it's DONE! The realization of the fact, that you have done it, will make you proud&strong. After that it's nice to just take a shower, put on clean clothes and relax for the rest of the day. Relax responsibly,- don't make a mess again! 
The next morning wake up with a smile, drink a cup of tea - or two - or the entire pot - in bed, then take on your clothes,- and start decorating! Black organic tea of your favorite sort will give you enough energy to make your home Christmas-ready - and to enjoy the process of turning it into Winter Wonderland!

It's beginning again to look like Christmas.....

Finally! 
The big, fluffy Christmas tree is installed on the central square; the Christmas street is about to be open; and every week new Christmas catalogs are falling into the mailbox. THAT FEELS SO GOOD!
But there is still a lot to be done. One has to decorate home, replenish stocks of organic flour, organic fair-trade chocolate, almonds, nuts, coconut chips,  organic vanilla and cinnamon for Christmas baking,- and, of course, find the gifts for all the friends and family members. And it does not really matter, if your family includes 25 aunts and uncles or just 1 cat,- even though it is definitely more affordable to buy 1 gift compare to 25 😉 
By the way,- if you have a cat, it probably spends most of it's time at home,- at least, in winter; but if you have a small dog, it may need a warm walking outfit. I have found a lovely "Christmas sweater" for my friend's chihuahua at HM-webshop, but there is a problem: at one place it is mentioned, that it is made of cotton, at another,- that it is made of acrylic. In the first case I would uy it, in the second - no. And anyway, my friend said, that dogs should try their clothes before buying, - as well as people. So,- may be, we should go to the real shop all together to check the quality of the material and to find out, if the model fits.

 Just a warning,- if your dog is still a puppy, it will see the pompoms as something made especially for gnawing off! 😀

From Harvest to Christmas

People often complain, that cooking Christmas food for several days in a roll before Christmas makes them exhausted. The best way to avoid it is to prepare some food in advance. For example, delicious pickles, crispy sauerkraut, savory vegetable spreads, marinated mushrooms, sweet homemade jams&berry syrups. And harvest period is the best time to do it! These three months, which are left to Christmas Eve, are exactly enough for some good old-fashioned preserves to get into their best shape! Because, you know,- many of them has to "mature" naturally in order to become really delicious! So,- get inspired&and roll up your sleeves. And when you need a towel to dry your hands, while cooking,- because, you know, preparing the conserves require ideal hygiene and therefore lots of hand-washing in the process,- choose something with a spicy vegetable print for extra-inspiration. Like, for example, this harvest-themed kitchen towel from HM, which we find absolutely adorable! By the way,- HM has a matching apron as well.

 In addition,- having such a painting in the kitchen, reminding about juicy colorful vegetables, usually stimulates people to eat real greens&veggies more often. Which is very good for health always, but especially,- in the cold season, when organism needs extra vitamins to fight away viruses of common cold and influenza. This is a basic rule of advertising&promotion, you know,- if you often see a billboard with a beautiful&colorful picture of some product, sooner or later you will start craving this product. Why not to use it for your health benefit? 

Soon the bells will start

"Time flies, when you have fun,"- is a popular saying. And so it does, when one works or studies. Just recently we were taking off the ornaments from the Christmas-tree, - and ops! - here is a spring already with its light-green grass and pale-rosy flowers, followed by the summer with its seashells and starfishes, and then... then you find yourself planning a "harvest casserole" with aubergines and bell peppers as a next meal,- and realize, that autumn is here. 
By the way,- regarding taking down the Christmas decorations. When we have finally taken down the last ones (as we thought 😏 ),- that is somewhere in May,- the next day it started snowing again,- probably, as a protest against our shameless action. It was both strange and beautiful! And no, - the "last ornaments" were actually not really the last ones,- later we have found a little golden bell in the hall - and decided to let it stay there awaiting for "tis the season" to come. As we have heard from the jolly old lady from the tiny souvenir shop, this behavior is far away from abnormal. 
Anyway, now, when nights are getting dark and cold, we have the right to start preparing ourselves for "the most wonderful time of the year". And it is both pleasant&sensible, because looking at bright pictures of Christmas clothes and tableware helps us to avoid not only seasonal autumn depression, but also "Christmas stress", which is striking people in the middle of the December. What is the point in waiting till the last moment with buying Christmas gifts and decorations and staying in long queues? It is much easier to spend some spare time in September, October and November, searching for the good presents online or in stores. And you can be sure, that the shops are already prepared for that! 
Here are just few Christmas-friendly items, which we have found recently online. So,- brew the fresh organic tea, pour it in your favorite mug, sit in the bed under the fluffy comforter (that one, which is a quilt), with a soft comforter (another one, which is warm scarf) around your neck,- and let's enjoy the preparations for "the season to be jolly"!
